An experienced guide in their corner.

A dedicated Coach helps your teenager explore possibilities, work through difficult decisions, and make progress on things they care about.

The right kind of help

Teaching when they need it, a nudge when they don’t

Sometimes a teenager needs encouragement. Sometimes they are missing something they need to know, and no amount of cheering fixes that. A good coach can tell which, whether that means explaining the idea clearly or asking the one question that gets them moving.

What it gives themInstruction when it’s needed, encouragement when it’s not.

Honest challenge

Someone who asks “how do you know?”

A coach looks at the actual work and pushes on the weak spots: an assumption that does not hold up, a conclusion the evidence does not support, a plan that skips the hard part. It comes from an adult who is on your teen’s side, so it lands as help rather than criticism.

What it gives themSharper thinking, and better work.

Help with real obstacles

Work out why they’re stuck

When a Project stalls, a coach helps figure out why. Is there a skill they are missing, a goal that stopped making sense, or a plan that costs more time than it is worth? Each calls for a different fix, and your teen does the fixing.

What it gives themA way past the sticking point, not just a pep talk.

Follow-through

Good ideas don’t quietly disappear

Sessions end with something specific your teen has decided to try. At the next one, the coach asks what happened and helps them judge whether to push on or change course, because sometimes quitting is the smart call and sometimes it is far too early to tell.

What it gives themThey learn when to stick with something and when to move on.

How coaching works

A simple, supportive process that helps your teen keep moving and learn from what happens.

  1. 1

    Choose your rhythm

Create a parent account, add your teen, and choose monthly, twice-monthly, or weekly coaching. Prefer to talk first? Book a short intro call.

  2. 2

    Meet one-to-one

Your teen meets online with their coach on the cadence you choose.

  3. 3

    Explore and take action

Sessions focus on interests, questions, projects, and the decisions your teen is working through. The choices stay theirs.

  4. 4

    Check in on what happened

At the next session, the coach asks what your teen tried and what they found. Your teen decides whether to keep going, adjust, or try something different.

Yonder Plan workspace showing explorations, a weekly plan, and active goals

Every tier is the same kind of one-to-one session. What changes is how often. Follow-up happens at the next session, so a steadier rhythm means a quicker check on what your teen tried. Between sessions, your teen works on their own in Yonder Plan.

Common questions

A few quick answers about Yonder Coach.

How do you find the right coach for my teen?

We start by learning about your teen’s interests, personality, goals, and what they want to explore. Then we look for an experienced adult whose background and approach fit what your family is looking for.

How often do sessions happen?

You can choose monthly, twice monthly, or weekly sessions. The right cadence depends on how much consistency and support your teen needs right now.

What does a session look like?

Sessions are live, online, and one-to-one. Your teen and their coach might explore an interest, work through a decision, develop a project, reflect on something they tried, or decide what to do next.

What will parents know?

You should know enough to understand what your teen is exploring and how things are going, while your teen still gets room to make the experience their own.

Is Yonder Coach tutoring, therapy, or admissions counseling?

No. We do not teach school subjects or do homework, provide clinical or mental health treatment, or build college applications and admissions strategies.
